The Access Equity Initiative is dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers and opening pathways for the underrepresented and the disadvantaged across all professional fields. We empower individuals through mentorship, educational resources, and professional development opportunities, ensuring that every person has a chance to thrive in a diverse and inclusive society.
Medical Education Division
The Access Equity Medical Education Division, backed by Next Generation John’s Target 1 and Target 3 Pillars works to bridge the gap in medical education by providing underserved students with the tools, mentorship, and opportunities needed to succeed. We believe that every aspiring healthcare professional should have equal access to the resources required to enter and thrive in medical school, regardless of their background.
This division focuses on:
Financial Support: Offering scholarships, stipends, and grants to students from underrepresented communities to alleviate financial barriers to medical education.
Mentorship & Guidance: Providing pre-med students with mentorship from experienced professionals, guiding them through the admissions process and offering advice on navigating the challenges of medical school.
Academic Resources: Equipping students with study materials, preparatory courses, and workshops to improve their chances of acceptance into medical school.
Advocacy & Awareness: Raising awareness about the importance of diversity in medicine and advocating for systemic changes that promote equity in medical education.
Networking & Community Building: Creating a supportive community where students from diverse backgrounds can connect with one another, build relationships, and share resources.
Through the AEME Division, we aim to ensure that the next generation of doctors is as diverse and inclusive as the communities they will serve.
